Quirky that's so not me!

Work has been a real bummer the past few days and with PC man also going down with viral fever let's just say things haven't been all that pretty. Amidst all this I also realized I have been accumulating tags at a alarming rate that very soon I will have them coming out of my ears and nose. So I decided to start getting them done one by one before the disaster strikes.

First of all I thought let me make a list of the tags to do,trust me with my memory I am capable of forgetting who my next door neighbor is the moment I have greeted them and walked into the lift . So I am better off making a list. * Scratches her head wondering whether that lady's name was Carla or Marla? Notes to self: Make a list of the same*

1. The lovely Moppet's mom tagged me to reveal a few of my quirkiness (isn't that hard?you all know how totally normal I truly am?)

2. The kind Nainashley has tagged me to describe my dreams (I can do that for a living, they get absurder day by day)

3. I have been tagged to share my fetishes by NM (I do remember nm!!I'm sorry its taken so long but I'll get cracking)

4. The sweet Lavs long back gave away the "Thinking blogger" award to moi!! (yes totally surprised me and thrilled me as well) I am to give away the same so wait till the secret envelope opens and the names are called out:) *Notes to self: Got to find out whether my favorite ones are already the receipients of the same*

5. Kodi's mom tagged me long long back to share some more top 8 things about Ina. *Looks around apologetically* Getting to it I promise!!

6.ITW tagged me about the Favorite Indian authors list *again looks apologetic slowly shuffling her feet* Long time overdue I know!!!!!

Phew!!Just made sure I wrote this all in the text file ,spell checked it,bulleted it,categorized it,googled it and emailed one copy to self (Um..let's say I utilize official net resources rather wisely and productively) and stored one on the home PC. So time to get cracking on the Moppet's mom tag shall we? I did consult PC man to help me with it (not that I needed any extra help ) just to satisfy my wicked curiosity as to which things about me he felt were quirky. I half expected the diplomatic "You my darling and quirky??nah nah..you are perfect" answer but to my surprise and annoyance I received a big hearty laugh and " Do you want me to list some out for you?" needless to say he followed it up wisely with " That's what I love about you Fuzz". What's not to love about this guy?
Anyway without much further ado here it goes:

1. As revealed by now I thrive on lists. I'm pretty sure my world will come collapsing down without my lists. I have to put down everything I want to do ,be it work or home and even if it means going down to the neigborhood store to get just a bottle of shampoo. I need to put it down and end up even taking a print out of the same. It drives PC man nuts but I just can't help it.

2. I talk to myself A lot!especially so when I'm preoccupied and nervous. I have faced a lot of embarassing moments due to this with people trying to talk to me back in the subway or at the shopping mall with me not realizing it and scaring them off with dirty looks. Now PC man recommends me to carry my Ipod everytime I step outside so I can camouflage this and carry on my ramblings to my innerself without interruptions from the confused public. It works like a charm.

3. "Thou shalt never rest with thy feet uncovered". I must cover my feet when I sleep. I wake up in the middle of the night if PC man even happens to steal my blanket leaving my feet exposed. If it's not a blanket then it has to be warm socks. I literally develop cold feet whenever I leave it exposed for a long period of time. I can't concentrate or do any work with my feet uncovered. It's like my processing and initiating centre is wired tightly with my sensory connections of my feet. Hence shoes are my best friend. (Gives me just another alibi to hoard some more)

4. I have word amnesia at times. It will most often be very simple words like a street or a bus or even a household item like a vaccum cleaner. A perfectly normal word but it disappears from my mind all of a sudden just like that. I try to get around it,I can point at it or look at it but lo and behold can't word it.

Fuzz- (cleaning the closet) Umm..now I think I need to use that cleaning thing here
PC man- You mean like a broom?
Fuzz- No *knocking her head* no, that thing which is long and black
PC man- Oh I get it,you mean the mop. You want a mop?
Fuzz- No,no, not the mop stupid. The thing which has a long tube which sucks ....which needs to be plugged in.
PC man- (doubling with laughter) You mean the vaccum!
Fuzz- Vaccum!that's it..yes that's what I MEANT !wipe the grin and hand it to me now!

I was pretty much convinced I had some neurological disorder of sorts until my brainy neurologist cousin convinced me otherwise. My IQ Scores also helped me convincing that I was normal and infact even smarter than I thought I was. It's weird, what can I say?

5. I have a strong sense of smell. So much that I can sense what's cooking in whose house just by stepping into the apartment corridor or the street. I also need to smell the food first before eating it. If the smell is not inviting I can't eat it. I also have big trouble shopping for perfumes and cosmetics because of the very same issue. I had to suffer because I ended up buying the wrong perfume or cosmetic which invoked the gods of headache on me. I have tearfully given away many a loved perfumes which costed me an arm and a leg to friends who were blessed with a blunted sense of smell than me. Now I try to peel myself off such evil stores which try to lure me into buying them in the first place.

So 5 it is!!that wasn't tough at all. See I told you I am completly normal ,not a bone of quirkiness in me. Now pray do tell me you still adore me inspite of these weird confessions!Otherwise I just might be found nervously talking to myself in the perfume section of the mall trying to figure out what the thing inside the fancy bottle is called ,barefoot and having forgotten the printed shopping list back at home . Now that's the stuff my nightmares are made of!

So now its my turn to tag *menacingly rubbing hands and looking around for the victims*
Nainashley- I'm curious
Rayshma- I am sure you will have some good stuff on this
Upsilamba- To rouse her out of her hiatus:)
Lavs- Out with it girl!
Orchid & Noodlehead- Again want them out of blog hiatus!

Our greenies- The (non) emotional tale

It was a bright summer day when the crazy Fuzzy family visited the Home Depot. With a squirming toddler in the stroller waiting for a chance to leap out of the restraints and run amok in the shop and a grumpy mother who hated visiting this particular commercial establishment and a happy looking dad who felt so much at home at this shop they made quite a sight. Just as they did their usual rounds and mom was yawning and trying to poke the little one to make some noise so they could just get out from this place dad happened to chance upon some gorgeous looking house plants. Just look at them he exclaimed ,wouldn't they be lovely if we had some of them in our home and balcony he said. The little one nodded her doll like head vigorously as if to shake some insect off her ear while the mother smiled sympathetically at the plants. Now,don't get her wrong. Before all you environmentalists out there get their clubs polished to get behind her back really she is not to be blamed for this attitude at all. She is not against greenery or an anti environmentalist. She happens to love nature just as much as any other person and even willing to be a tree hugger. But only provided the trees are well tended to by some other green thumbed person and not her. It so happens that she seems to have inherited a curse of sorts when it comes to plants. She has never been able to grow any living plant thingy in her life in her backyard. The closest she came was to germinate some seeds in a petri dish as a science experiment in school which by the way also died a suspicious death soon after a few days. Somehow even though she is a daughter of two big green thumbed parents who happened to love gardening she seems to have inherited some mutated gene which has turned her thumb rather black. Inspite of her best interests the plants she so lovingly would plant (She swears she never mistook the Clorox to the new enhancing fertilizer) would end up suffering an untimely death. So when PC man announced that we would take some of them home with us she almost wept for them.

PC man however was not so hopeless as his wife. He is one of those blessed with a green thumb and so she mused perhaps this time around it might not be so bad. The memory of that poor lucky bamboo plant that managed to wilt away at her work desk just weeks before came in flashes but she waved them out of her mind for that minute. So the plants made their way home into Fuzzy household. They truly were gorgeous and since they also needed some sun (as per the fine print written on their tags) they were placed in the balcony for their sunny rendezuous for some periods of the day much to the annoyance of the neighborhood pigeons and birdy gangs. Afterall the balcony has long been considered as a practice ground for honing their who-gets-to-dump-more skills till then. Anyway as summer rolled by they grew in leaps and bounds much to the surprise of the mom. She was secretly thrilled at having plants at her home at last which seemed to survive beyond that critical period of 2 weeks(ok,who is she kidding, make it 3-4 days). Both she and the little one dutifully watered the plants and soon royal treatment in the form of some expensive potting soil made its way to their pots along with a fancy looking watering can to add to the fanfare. It was party time!!The mom was just short of making a sign and a banner declaring "East or west, our greenies are the best" and doing a cheer leading dance to get the greenies going up and strong everyday. Both mom and little one would shoo those evil pigeons who frequented the place scheming to reconquer the space. The mom also fussed about the temperature in the room by switching off the ac or turning off the oven when the greenies retired for the day or felt like breaking a leg in the living room . She fussed over them along with the PC man and the little one and dreamt of seeing them turn from younglings to adulthood. Now she thought finally we will be able to live like normal people and relished the day when she can have her own lovely lawn and a kitchen garden. It was all a dream come true.

But alas, it was not meant to be. Soon one fine day little one decided to play with the water can in the balcony and ended up flooding the plants. Mom alarmed at this tried to siphon the excess water off and let them dry a little more in the sun thinking that would help. And soon after they started to grow a little brown in the edges. Mom thought perhaps they are just sporting a healthy tan and some more water would do them good. So in went in some more water, some more sun and the cycle continued until that one fateful day. The little one tired of how they obstructed her view into the next apartment which housed her little furry friend Mr. Puppy tried to whip the leaves into shape. The plants who perhaps were already on their last waterlogged legs protested back at this meaningless assault into their personal space by a tiny little human. What followed perhaps was nothing short of sheer destruction. Fuelled with a sense of wounded pride this bundle of energy finally crossed over to the dark side drew out her light saber and let loose a mayhem . At the end of the fight all that was left of the gorgeous greenies were some remnants of twigs and heap of leaves. While the pigeons rejoiced at this turn of events the PC man however was heartbroken. When inspite of tending to the injured plants and performing a CPR they failed to get revived and soon the last remnant standing brown twig also collapsed. He alleged that the evil mother daughter duo conspired for this unfortunate event to occur. He accused them to be "Human herbicides" and even has threatened to call the plant cops on them. Well,we can certainly understand that he has lost his mind in the time of grief. This post is to present our side of the case so we will be cleansed of the infamy. Meanwhile the evil duo has respectfully declared that it will be a plant mourning day tomorrow to show our condolences too.

Let's pray the greenies rest in peace.

Beauty tips toddler style-2

Guess the lovely face pack I have on my face??Winter is around the corner people, isn't it time you all took care of your lovely skin. But I also don't want to reveal all my beauty tips all at once would I?So why don't you guys go ahead and take a guess as to what exactly is this miraculous yet proven to be beneficial secret face mask is? Put on your thinking caps and get into the game...
While you guys are busy scratching your heads at that let me give you the next one. The other day I gave mom a lesson or two on how tattoos are the in thing for today's generation. But somehow she wasn't too happy with it. She was seen grumbling as to what all she has to see in years to come if this is just a beginning. But tell me guys isn't this tattoo cool? I say if you want to be in the "In" crowd get one for yourself. Take it from a toddler who had to resort to drastic measures to leave a mark with the help of a marker pen. What does it say you ask? It says in toddler script (I'm sure Ojas,Tejas,Anush,Kodi, Sonny boy,Moppet,Apple,Joyce,Sonny, Anirudh and all bloggyland's toddler gang would easily decipher) "Born to rule". Mom's still grumpy about it but then I always tell her she is getting too senile for her age.

Third and final tip of the day. When you are in doubt how to shake up that saturday night out with your better half or to impress your Boss in that office party I have some great tips for you. Just when you are about to go out go and pick something brightest from your wardrobe and style it up around your neck in crumples and see what dazzling effects it has. And what's more with chilly weather on the way it always helps to have those extra layers. Mix and match people, don't be scared to experiment!

I can promise everyone's eyes will be on you!!(some bright undergarments and towels also serve the purpose. But then I wouldn't advice them for any formal dinners especially not the one with your boss and collegues!!)Okie dokie people, time to go and annoy mom a little more. I do sometimes feel like asking her how is it being around a style diva all the time, she seems to be developing a complex. But I know you guys will see my true potential.
By the way Have a great weekend and Happy Ganesha Chaturthi!!

Movie Gupshup

Just one piece of advice...if you do want to watch RGV'S "Aag" (Fire)make sure you leave your brain and the Sholay memories back at home. Or still better just run,run ,run as fast as you can if you see even the mere DVD cover of this piece of work of a movie. With such fine stellar cast of actors I should have known what to expect. But then you see a overworked mom at times has her insanity moments. I think I ought to be forgiven for yielding into this vicarious temptation to see how anyone could butcher the legendary movie even with Big B himself playing a legendary role. And trust me this really made me believe how one can indeed do it with such finesse. It leaves you wanting to reach through the screen and strangle RGV'S neck just the way Homer does to Bart. This movie has potential to bring out such manic impulses so beware. When the scantily clad Heroine looms on the screen with her now autorickshaw replacing Basanti's tanga hamming her way to acting you will scream for help and perhaps even resist the urge to hit your head to some heavy wooden object. I tell you they ought to put a disclaimer before the movie warning people against some adverse reactions you might suffer during the 3 hours. Enough said I regretted spending my hard earned money on this one for sure and spent the next torturous hours thinking of all the ways I could have put them to a better use. Why I even bothered to see the whole movie you say?You see I was in no right frame of mind and after you have passed through the initial violence inciting moments you actually throw your head back giving it all up and watch it just out of sheer curiosity as to how much more absurd and hilarious is this going to get and in that sense it is not disappointing. It gives you absurdity frame after frame in abundant doses. I sincerely tried to like the movie but it leaves you with such bad taste that you do feel sympathy for the director's so called vision. HIS vision seriously can use an opthalmologist consultation.

Remaking classic movies has become a new mantra of the age. It maybe the new wine in the old bottle theory but somehow I feel we all temper with magic and it's a huge gamble when you do make a remake of the cult classic movies. It's not that I have never really enjoyed some good remakes. But then for every "Scarface" and "Ocean's eleven" we have "Dukes of Hazzard" (the less said the better about this one) " The Stepford wives" "Planet of the Apes" "House of Wax" (What were they thinking?) and the likes. Remakes really don't have to suck so bad if they are tastefully done. I also loved "The Manchurian Candidate" "Charlie and the chocolate factory" " Fun with Dick and Jane" " Italian Job" remakes. Among the bollywood ones I enjoyed "Devdas" "parineeta" and "Don" was tolerable. Now I heard they are going to remake "Karz" starring none other than Himesh Reshammiya (Of all the actors in the world ..Why oh why?) in the role of Rishi Kapoor. I will hold my thoughts on this one as they are really not that pleasant. Him with his baseball cap and thoughts of nasal renditions of " Yek haseena thi" are capable of giving me nightmares.

What do you guys say?should classic movies be left alone or it's ok to recreate them?Which are your favorite remakes and the worst ones?

Learning the television way

Scene: A perfect weekend evening with one family relaxing in front of the tv.

The Little one walks by watches both the parents glued to the idiot box and rightly so ,gets her Winnie the Pooh chair to the side and perches over it and joins the gang. No guesses who gets the bad mother of the year award this time by setting such a fine example. Mom seems to have crossed over to the dark side. Now she reasons well,a little tv won't do that much harm can it? But after sometime when Mike Rowe is seen digging his hands into another batch of disgusting gooey stuff on his dirty jobs series, she pauses and thinks..Hmm..this can't be something good for her to watch can it?Yet the little one is watching without battling an eyelash. Mom wonders has she already desensitized her little mind so much?is she going to need some therapy in her adult years associating all her woes to those years of television watching? This prompts her to act....

Mom- Hmm.. .are you seeing this?

Dad- Yes,unbelievable isn't it?*Thoroughly enjoying this series of dirty jobs*

(Men,I tell you they can surprise you so much at times with their interests in all these bikes, cars, war, weapons and dirt. Sometimes I think they consider watching such stuff unflinchingly is a prerequisite to their machoness or honestly do they have such bad taste in programs?)

Mom- Kids these days! I never really understood the concept of tv when I was that age

Dad- *pretending to hear his wife and lip synching an yes to everything just to get her off his back* Yes dear,I agree

Mom- Don't you think we ought to switch to some other channel?this stuff you are watching seems a wee bit inappropriate for her to watch

Dad- *Apparently has no clue what his wife is talking about and abiding by the nature's law that men can never process two things at a time and wife turns into a invisible object especially when tv is on* Yes I agree

Mom- Wow!well then change it *waiting for some response*...........*Nudging him this time* ......*finally exasperated, snatches the remote from his hand* Now there you go!

Dad- *Jumping up from his couch and looking at her incredulously* You just changed it?I was watching it.Why would you do that?

Mom- Well..did you really hear what I said just now?

Dad- Hmm..yes,well...umm.. no. What were you really telling me about?

Mom- *with that look which says "You men!!* Time for another channel, we have a little spectator here now as you can see

Dad -*Letting out a moan* Comeon,it's ending in a few minutes. What harm can it do anyway?and moreover its discovery channel. It will improve her knowledge.

Mom- Watching a man wallowing in dirt or sifting through some disgusting stuff happily somehow doesn't seem appropriate to let her watch does it?

Dad- *hands in the air* I could have made up some story about how lessons can be learnt by dirt?I really truly can.

Mom- *Dismissing his pleas* Like the one you made last time about how if dad didn't watch that computer program she would get swallowed by the laptop? No,thanks. Look !there's this "Friendly jack" program on the baby tv. He is teaching how to make toddlers help you pick up their toys and put them back.

Dad- *lets out a fake laughter* You really think it's that easy to teach them??

The little one squeals and claps her hands as an outrageously colorful attired man comes jumping holding some balloons (However liked the Friendly Jack guy is he has atrocious taste in clothes and certainly would have been the worst candidate if ever featured on WHAT NOT TO WEAR...on second thoughts he could be perhaps closely beaten by Elmo and Barney)

Mom-*smugly smiling to herself* See,she is more happy to see this. (Sits with her offspring)Watch me and learn . Hey look baby, how Jack is putting his toys in place...Picking them up one by one...

Two little eyes watch carefully as Jack picks up one toy after another from the messy room and puts them all back into the toy basket...Her eyes light up now and she gets up..

Mom- *Delighted* Look, look she is going to put her toys in place.. Wow!I guess tv isn't that bad afterall...

The dutiful kid under the influence of Jack goes to her toy box picks up one and then looks at the toy..Mom is cheering her to put it into the box

She then proceeds to turn her toy box all over and scattering all her toys and lego pieces crashing them all to the ground and sending them rolling to every nook and corner of the room. Mom watches in horror as they fly all across the room under the carpet, sofa and the chairs! And then the little one proceeds to put them one by one back, periodically turning the box over and over again to get the pieces again on the floor and then putting them back before repeating it. Afterall that's what the friendly Jack did,he entered a messy room full of toys and then only proceeded to put them didn't he?first there has to be a mess to clean up...rightly reasoned by the child...

Dad was last seen rolling on the floor laughing his ass off while the poor embarassed mom cast a cold stare at him and very quietly proceeded to pick up the toys herself....Needless to say the little one's quota of friendly Jack is going to get rationed.

Celebrating life

Dear dad,

Today it's exactly a month since you left us. It still feels like one of those days when you used to go back to your ship sailing and that you would come back again someday soon. I still remember the "Quality street" chocolates you always brought for me on your way back as a child telling that I ought to share them with my friends too. You know,I never actually liked doing that,I wanted to just show them and keep them all for myself because you had brought them just for me. I was as possessive about things you got me the way you were possessive about those old spectacles you wore, the old junk of a Ambassador car you refused to sell (remember how it broke down while getting the groom from the airport to the wedding venue and bro said he and PC man aka the groom had to push it half a kilometer!)or that old Yezdi bike which still sits in the garage.

I brought back with me your spectacles. Remember the brown framed ones you always wore and also the ugly black framed one which I used to always tease you about saying it made you look like that old scary professor on the block. You used to laugh and pretend to hit me and say never to call you ever OLD. You would say it's all in the mind dear Fuzz,in my mind I'm always going to be a young man. And frankly dad I think you really always looked way younger than your age. I think I'm going to keep those spectacles too as they remind me so much of you.

Remember the first bicycle you got me after I came home crying after a bully teased me saying I never had a good bike?It was a blue BSA SLR one with the cool basket in the front. You hid it in the garage and surprised me with it the next day morning. How excited I was about it and how you helped me make it pretty hideous but cool for a pre teen then with all those extra stickers? I had rode it with such pride around the whole colony that day. You told me to ride it freely and if anyone bullied me to go ahead and punch their nose or run over them but never take bullying of any form bowing down.

You remember the bedtime stories you always told us? You single handedly dad made my childhood that much more magical and imaginative with them. Remember the time you had told me how the old lady of the block was really a witch who ate kids and we believed it entirely and spread it in hushed whispers amongst all the kids in the block? or the time when you made us believe if we were good kids we would get to see those little fairies on fullmoon nights and the time you reassued me there were certainly no ghosts walking around our new home? I hope I will be able to give Ina too such a magical childhood,I surely could have used your help. You were a genius!

Everyday mornings it used to be a ritual to start it with reading the newspaper. I would finish my entertainment section and then we would sit and discuss the headlines. Once I was old enough we would sit and dissect out the daily political news and dish out dirt on the bigwigs . I loved watching television with you as you always made us laugh with your witty one liners all through those innane tearjerking bollywood movies. Oh, I will miss those times dad. I wish I had told you how much I loved those talks not to mention the way you sprinkled them with some solid good advice.

Ofcourse how can I forget our dogs. You were the pied piper of dogs in the area. Somehow no dog could ever bark at you,you used to look into their eyes and read their soul. No dog which wandered across our home went without food. Remember the dog and the puppies we saved during that "Elimination of street dogs" campaign? Also that Alsatian dog "Cooler" who was abandoned by his previous owner due to his ferociousness and whom no one could pet without fearing they would be missing some fingers? Somehow he was transformed into a gentle docile creature when you petted him on that beach and magically followed you up all the way home and stayed. When he almost attacked bro, chased the postman into the ditch and fought with every dog in the street everyone wanted him out but you stated firmly that he was a family member and he would never move out. You even asked the angry postman to suck it up and for a few days went to the postoffice to get our mails. Maybe it was no wonder the furry friend chose to die right under your feet the day he fell direly ill. That was perhaps one of those rare days when I saw you cry dad. Remember the crippled crow you used to feed everyday and the our adorable Jughead? We both inherited that love for animals from you dad and now whenever Ina screams herself hoarse in delight and lunges with affection towards the puppy in the elevator I think I know where she gets that from.

You had a temper dad and being your daughter I definitly inherited that. You were so strict about my studies and exams. And once when accidently grandma and cousins visited during my pre university exam period you were so livid. You refused to allow me to spend even 30 minutes with them and would show the clock and push me back into the room to study. You said "Never lose your focus. You won't get this precious time back again" and I had got livid as well. I went and banged the door and made that clock over the door fall down and crash. You had frowned and looked at me and the broken clock and said "Now look what you did,you not only wasted time but literally killed it" and inspite of the tense situation I had to smile. You pushed us hard dad and though that time we hated it now I know you did that only to get the best from us lazybones so we would lead a better life without hardships the way you did. That day when you stood there beaming during my graduation telling everyone that was his little girl up there, honestly dad that was one of the best moments of my life.

Did you know PC man was always in awe of you?It seemed he had half thought of getting himself an armour just incase you decided to chuck him right out of the window when he came asking my hand. You did make him sweat a lot before giving approval. When I see him with Ina I'm always reminded of you dad. Don't worry he has proven he was a good catch so far.

You also never were an easy man to part with money remember dad?me and bro always grumbled as to what a big miser you were but you brought us up making us realize the value of each penny. Now that's so ingrained in me that sometimes PC man thinks I'm turning into a miser myself!

Remember the guy who used to be your driver dad while you worked at the Port trust?or the lanky guy who used to come to you always for advise and Babu uncle who was your best friend? No one missed out on your funeral day dad, they all came. The whole village came in crowds dad each one with their own tales of how you helped them and how much you meant to them. Each and everyone whose life you had touched. You did treat each and everyone below you with respect. You used to say everyone starts at the bottom and works their way up. I Hope you knew how proud of you I truly am.

We still had our differences. Perhaps once we grew up I felt some of our views on some things did clash. I felt you held a more patriarchal view on a lot of things. We did grow a little apart during that phase but it had begun to heal the past few years. I still wish shipping hadn't taken you away from us for such extended periods of time. Times when we wished for you, times when I performed my first dance recital or the times when bro aced the university or the times when he had a break down from his first business venture. We did miss out on some of the times dad.

By the way Mom is doing allright. Honestly dad you would have been proud of the way she conducted herself throughout this ordeal. She is truly a lady with such strength and dignity,I know you knew that. And you don't worry,we are here taking good care of her. She still complains you never really took her out for a movie or a second honeymoon. Nah,just kidding, that's not her it was just me who was complaining:)

There are millions of memories dad I want to talk about but I still can't talk about them without feeling a lump in my throat. Perhaps mom is really right. You would never truly be gone. I carry a lot of you in me. I even look a lot like you, have the same streak of stubborness and perseverence and that ability to laugh at myself. I also have your famous temper and wonderful imagination. I still remember what you said when grand pa died. You had lifed me up on your shoulders and said " Let's not mourn his passing with tears, let's celebrate the memories for the great man he was and the life he led" You know what dad?I told everyone exactly the same thing and I will always celebrate you.

From a small boy who rode his bicycle for nearly 10 kms everyday to arrive at school from a tiny village,to a young man who used to write with chalk on the floor of his dingy room and study his formulas and equations when he couldn't afford any paper as a engineering student, to a man who was the first in his village to be a stupendous success and sailed the seven seas and visited almost the whole world,to a man who truly struggled and achieved everything from sheer hardwork and intelligence with not a penny in his pocket with no support from anyone dad you came a long way. How can we not celebrate such a life? You are truly an inspiration dad and we are proud you were our dad.

I also know however some things just won't be the same without you. Come every Father's day I will possibly feel sad I no longer will be able to pick a card and send it to you the way I always did, come your birthday I will no longer be able to surprise you, those fun family evenings won't be the same, those evening walks we took at that stadium will no longer feel the same....I will always miss your sunny smile and when I hear some of those favorite kishore kumar or rafi songs you used to sing offtune I perhaps will stop for a minute to catch my breath again, feel a lump in my throat as I see our old pics together.. but I know we will carry on. You were my hero and you always will be and you will stay right here in our hearts. I know you would know all the things I want to share with you ,you always did know.

your loving daughter
Fuzzy

When its hard to say goodbye

In these past few days......

A thousand times we needed you

A thousand times we cried

If love alone could have saved you

you never would have died

A heart of gold stopped beating

two twinkling eyes closed to rest

God broke our hearts to prove he only took the best

never a day goes by that you’re not in my heart and my soul.

I search everywhere for you dad, just to hear that loving voice of yours once more

Will always miss you more than words can ever say...
